When we meet nothing actually happens. An introduction meeting is simply to casually connect to share personal introductions and understand a little more about each other. Rarely are professional discussions initiated. We end up with a sense of each other in terms of the intangible credibility and relevance that are necessary to move forward. I take this opportunity to share what I do in terms of analysis, planning, strategy and products. I answer qualifying questions and I may ask a few as well. Only 60-70% of introductions proceed to business, often there is a greater getting to know you process, or simply a relevance issue that time and circumstance must overcome.
